Those interested in applying for university who live in Manchester and surrounding areas are invited to visit the University of Greenwich team at the UCAS higher education exhibition on Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 March. The event is free to attend and offers the perfect opportunity for students, school groups, parents and guardians to speak with our University of Greenwich student recruitment team to explore their higher education options. Attendees can find out about the 200-plus undergraduate course options available at our three campuses in south-east London and Kent; academic, finance and student support services, accommodation options and the benefits of being part of the Greenwich student community. There will also be opportunities to hear a variety of student talks hosted by UCAS and ask advisers questions about submitting applications.
First year events management student, Aurelie Cavaness, is grateful for the information and assistance she received ahead of applying through UCAS, which empowered her to choose the best course option for her.
Aurelie said: “I found these events very helpful and what I learned made me more confident in the UCAS application process and planning my student finance. This enabled me to make my final choice of the University of Greenwich more confidently. I find it crucial to reach out and make the most of these events, in order to make the right choices and to find the right course and the right university for you.”
Aurelie, 20, lives on student accommodation on campus after moving from her home in France. She has called Greenwich home since beginning her studies 18 months ago.
She said: “I feel so privileged to be attending the University of Greenwich. I feel at home and am studying the best degree for me, with a great support network available to all students if needed. Working part-time while studying and living in halls has also allowed me to find a great balance between my social life, university life and professional life, which I feel is so beneficial for my personal growth looking towards the future.”
The two-day event runs from 9:30am to 3pm. Visit us at Stand 56, Manchester Central, Petersfield, Manchester, M2 3GX.
Up to 150 universities and colleges from across the UK will be at the event, one of 50 events that will be hosted across the UK in 2020.
