Bowdon Club’s Beer Festival is back next month and this year it’s bigger and better than ever before.  So successful was last year’s event it will now take place over three days – the 18th, 19th and 20th May – at the club on South Downs Road in Bowdon.
Organiser, Steve Parr, said: “We had over 500 people visit the Festival last year so we’ve decided to satisfy people’s thirst by giving them more time to try the wide selection of cask ales on offer. There’s lots more going on too.  A cricket match; the hockey club’s street party; bar games; music from The Downfall Band; and food from Burritos by Munchitos.  We’re even throwing in a Royal Wedding and a Cup Final too for good measure!”
There will be a large selection of cask ales on offer, both local and from across the UK, plus a full complement of ciders, wines, spirits and champagnes. Entry is free and members and non-members are welcome.
Parr said: “It will be a great day out for family and friends, “and hopefully the sun will be shining.  If not, then there’s nothing to worry about. There’s beer and burritos; darts and dominos; and a wedding and a football match to watch, all in the comfort of the club house!”
