Albert’s Schloss is bringing back its popular Grand Tour this Spring as it announces its biggest event so far, and two new partnerships with Rapha Clubhouse Manchester and charitable bikers, the Tour de Manc.

On Sunday 3 May 2020, participants from all walks of life are invited to cycle the Tour de Manc route to help raise money for charity, with the opportunity to join an epic Schloss Start, for a bikers breakfast and coffee.

Those who join the Schloss Start will meet at 7am where there’ll be bike parking right outside the venue, and after a hearty breakfast of freshly baked rolls with either sausage, bacon or eggs, and the finest fresh coffee or espressos, the bikers will ride with their Rapha Ride Leader who will escort the group to join the Tour de Manc, joining the three ride options. Albert’s Schloss is also hosting a free bike servicing pop-up in the Study area of the venue.

After the ride there will be a free ‘Radler’ shandy for every rider at Schloss as the venue kicks off its official Grand Tour After Party. The not-to-be-missed event marks the start of the Albert’s Schloss Spring and Summer season, with the venue set to unveil its eye-catching new interior and new summer food and drink menu. Albert’s Schloss will be bringing the outside inside with a stunning Spring Meadow theme along with decadent Victorian Maypoles, and visitors can enjoy a ‘Summer in the Alps’ inspired menu and refreshing new cocktails.

James Plant, GM for Albert’s Schloss said: “We can’t wait for this year’s Grand Tour, it’s going to be a really memorable, inspiring ingoing event for the city. We’re so pleased to be collaborating with Rapha, such a world renowned and reputable cycling brand, and the amazing Tour de Manc, the originators of this incredible cycle challenge. Between us, we’ve come up with a really fun schedule for the day, with the Schloss Start offering a great way to get into the team spirit of the day and power up for the challenge. The last Grand Tour was hugely successful and this year, we hope to help raise even more for Manchester charities. If you’re looking for a physical challenge for 2020 and a way to give something back to local charities – this is the one to sign up for!”

Tickets to join the Tour de Manc event are £36 with the official event starting at the David Lloyd Manchester North Club. Those who join the Schloss Start will pay £41 which includes their breakfast and coffee, the escort to the Tour de Manc and the onsite activities within Schloss – with the additional £5 from each ticket going direct to the charities.
