Withington Head Girls notch up top results

Withington Girls’ School Head Girls Team are set to take up their first-choice university places having notched up an impressive clean sweep of top grades, securing 10 A* and A grades between them. 

Head Girl Emily Herbert, from Styal, is going to read Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford after achieving 2A*s in Mathematics and History and 2 A grades in Politics and German.

An image of WGSDeputy Head Girl Sitara Bartle, from Lymm, will read Classics at Newnham College, Cambridge after achieving an A* in Latin and A grades in Greek and Spanish.

Emma King, from Hale, who is also a Deputy Head Girl, secured 3 A*s (English Literature, English Language and History) and will go on to study English Literature at Edinburgh.

An image of WGSWithington Girls’ School student Isobel Griffiths was a star performer in this year’s outstanding A-Level results. Isobel, from Stockport, secured an impressive 5A*s (History, Politics, Latin, Mathematics and General Studies) and will now take up her place at Christ’s College, Cambridge, to read History.  Pictured here is Isobel (left), from Stockport, with her friend Aneesha Adlington, from Bramhall, who is going to study dentistry at Birmingham after also securing excellent results.
