Exhibiting alongside professional artists from across Cheshire at the Simply Cheshire event, which took place at Arley Hall, The Grange School’s A-Level Textiles students were awarded the best-in-show runners-up prize.

Simply Cheshire is a food, home and gift fair which provides a showcase for Cheshire’s makers and producers. The event took place on Saturday 20 May and Sunday 21 May at the magnificent Arley Hall and Gardens. The best in show prize went to Cheshire based artist David Tragen, a designer and maker of contemporary, sculptural furniture.

Art and Textiles teachers at The Grange School, Miss Brace and Miss Picken said: “We are so glad and proud that the Cheshire community recognised and awarded the skills and talents of our textile students. We thoroughly enjoyed the weekend, which offered a great opportunity for the students to experience what it could be like working in the industry: selling their products, meeting customers and receiving well deserved recognition.”
