Having studied Economics at University Salim Uddin-Khandakar joined British Airways as a Customer Services Agent. In 1991 he moved to The Manchester Evenings News where he spent three years as a Sales Consultant developing the entertainment pages of Britain’s biggest regional newspaper.
He joined Kiss FM in September 1994 as Business Development Manager of the newly launched radio station. After a period running the sales operation across a portfolio of local stations for various operators such as Faze, Chrysalis and Clear Channel on brands such as Galaxy FM, Heart FM, Jazz FM and Smooth FM, he decided to follow business partner and wife Beverley Uddin-Khandakar into the Salutions Group.
Today he is Managing Director of Salutions Limited, publishers of lifestyle titles including Didsbury Magazine, Hale and Bowdon Magazine and One Manchester Magazine. He is a member of the Institute of Directors and a keen golfer.
