Real Housewives stars reveal they are secret investors in Manchester’s celebrity hotspot restaurant, Menagerie, with plans for major UK brand expansion
The opening episode of the Real Housewives of Cheshire, revealed that Forever Unique owners, Seema Malhotra, husband Sandeep, and artist Stacey Forsey, are secret investors of celebrity hot-spot, Menagerie, in Manchester.
The Real Housewives have been regular faces at Menagerie since it opened last year by entrepreneur, Karina Jadhav at the New Bailey development. It has fast become a celebrity hub for Manchester’s elite VIPs. The venue is a regular haunt for the likes of Michelle Keegan, Charlotte Crosby, Charlotte Dawson and Coleen Rooney.
Husband and wife, Seema and Sandeep, who have global success with fashion brand, Forever Unique, said that they were invested in Karina from the beginning and were excited to support the venture and its expansion.
Sandeep said: “We invested in Karina and her knowledge and experience in the industry. It started as a passion project but we hope to roll out at least 5 more restaurants in the North West and continue to build the business.”
Seema said: “I fell in love with Karina’s vision from the beginning. Menagerie brings food, art and entertainment at every level, which is something that the hospitality sector was missing in Manchester. As a businesswoman in fashion, I was naturally drawn to the concept of a catwalk inside a restaurant. We couldn’t be more excited to see what the future holds.”
The increasingly popular venue is best known for its grand interiors including live performers and aerialists, a giant golden birdcage booth, and a runway in the heart of the restaurant. Stacey and Seema appeared on the first episode of the show, where they revealed to fellow housewife Dawn Ward that they have invested in Menagerie with plans to expand across the North West.
Artist, Stacey said: “I’m very excited about the venture. It’s always been my dream to be involved in the hospitality industry on this level. To be part of such an exciting venture with two amazing women like Karina and Seema is fantastic and I’m looking forward to seeing the business flourish even more over the next few years.”
Restaurant boss Karina said: “Seema and Stacey have both invested in the restaurant. They have helped me guide the future direction of the business and worked with me to come up with ideas and concepts for the brand.
It has been amazing to work with two such intelligent, successful women, especially as I am in a male-dominated industry. It has been a really positive experience for me having the guidance of the other businesswomen. They have both been very supportive of me and the vision of Menagerie.
I am excited to confirm that we are aiming to open 4-5 Menageries around the UK, starting with other Northern powerhouse cities.”
