The much-hyped Manchester children’s choir, Parrs Wood High School Harmony Group, has announced it will be performing at the Lambrini sponsored Love Actually Live pop-up cinema events, taking place at The Mayfield Depot on Friday December 8th and Saturday December 9th 2017.

Due to demand, an additional screening is now taking place at 1.30pm on Saturday 9th December and a percentage of ticket sales from this event will go to the Choir’s designated charity, the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund.

Sponsored by Lambrini, Love Actually Live is a unique cinema experience with live entertainment, festive music and of course the Parrs Wood High School Harmony Group, who will be singing Christmas carols and some famous Christmas songs. Members from the choir will perform alongside a live band made up from students and staff from the school and will also feature string quartet ‘Highly Strung’, led by head of music Hannah Groarke.

Guests will also enjoy a complimentary drink on arrival, a themed cocktail bar and specially prepared street food.

Musical director and vocal coach at Parrs Wood, Daniel McDwyer, says: “We are delighted to be able to perform at such a unique series of events in our home city. Love Actually is one of my favourite Christmas films and all the staff and students are so excited to be involved. It’s with thanks to the organisers that we’re able to perform at the shows, while raising money for the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund.”

Parrs Wood High School Harmony Group became a national sensation after performing Daniel’s arrangement of ‘my everything’ next to singer Ariana Grande at Manchester’s One Love benefit concert. Since then the choir have continued performing at many charity events and have now raised £25,000 for the victims of the attack.
