Menagerie Bar & Restaurant host star-studded We Love Manchester charity fundraiser to raise over £20,000 for the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund.
Celeb hotspot Menagerie Bar and Restaurant in Manchester city centre hosted a star-studded We Love Manchester FUNdraiser charity evening to raise a minimum target of £20,000 for the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund.
The fun-filled evening was kicked off by a glamorous catwalk show by luxury fashion brand Forever Unique, owned by Real Housewives of Cheshire star Seema Malhotra, followed by live performances including an appearance from Jake Quickenden from X Factor.
A whole host of celebrities attending wore the Forever Unique label, including reality stars Danielle Armstrong, Seema Malhotra and top fashion influencers.
Other entertainment that took place during the night involved a Forever Unique pop-up shop and a silent auction giving guests the chance to win some phenomenal prizes, including the dress and bag wore by Cath Tyldesley (Eva in Coronation Street) to the National Television Awards just two weeks after the bombing; a meal for 10 with Peter Andre and signed Manny Pacquiao and Mike Tyson boxing gloves in presentation boxes.
The event received significant backing from the Manchester business community, such as the owners of Menagerie Bar & Restaurant and other local businesses including Mercedes Benz Manchester who offered a Mercedes SL and C63 AMG each for a weekend (subject to insurance).
Seema Malhotra of Forever Unique and Menagerie Bar & Restaurant shareholder presented a generous donation of £5,000 to the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund.
Organiser of the event Chris Healing said, he really wanted to do something to help all those affected by the horrific events of 22nd May: “Since deciding to raise money for the fund, we’ve truly been overwhelmed by the generosity of businesses, celebrities and the public. It’s an event that for obvious reasons is extremely close to everyone’s heart here in the city and by raising this money we hope we can really make a difference. What makes it more special is that some of those directly involved will also be there on the night.”
