This stylish salon opened its doors 21 years ago on King Street, opposite Pizza Express, and it has become one of the most exclusive and highly regarded hair salons in Manchester. I was a little worried when I was invited in to do a ‘tried&tested’ cut and colour, simply because it was a couple of years since I’d walked into any salon, and I don’t do colour. So I decided I’d take my mum along for the treatment. We went along on a Thursday evening because the salon is open late. We were both nervous, but the team made us feel very special from the moment we arrived. We had a short consultation before the stylists worked their magic, and then relaxed and enjoyed the whole experience. Russell Carney stock a wide range of Bumble and Bumble, GHD and Phyto hair care and styling products and are happy to discuss what products are best for your hair. Their hour-long appointments mean they can offer more of their time, which helps you feel at ease and less hurried – an important factor when trying to build a client/stylist relationship. I won’t be leaving it another two years before I go back to Russell Carney!
