6 June – The Genesis Appeal Keep Fit and Pink Day 2010. The charity’s fourth annual 10km walk aims to encourage people across the north west to put on their trainers and get fit and healthy to prevent breast cancer. A host of celebrities and fitness instructors will ensure everyone is limbered up and ready to go. Entertainment will include live music and dancing, celebrity guests and a variety of fitness activities to get the adrenalin pumping! The event is sure to be particularly eye-catching as participants are being encouraged to ‘think pink’ and put on The Genesis Appeal’s trademark tutus! Manchester will be alive with people from all over the north west and beyond who will make their way around the city centre in groups of 100 – beginning and completing the walk in Spinningfields. It promises to be a fantastic day for everyone and is open to people of all ages. Registration costs £12 for adults and £8 for children over five.
