Former students and staff from all over the UK returned to St Bede’s College in Manchester recently to celebrate 25 years of co-education. Founded in 1876, it was not until 1984 that the College first admitted girls. The evening began with a reception in the College’s impressive Vaughan Corridor and tours guided by Senior Prefects, with an opportunity to look at old photographs and read back copies of BAEDA, the College magazine.
Headmaster, Michael Barber, said “This was a wonderful occasion. Many current and former pupils and staff thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to reminisce and renew old acquaintances.“
