Now in its 26th year, Graduate Fashion Week helps bridge the gap between graduates and employment. With 22 catwalk shows over four days, it provides the world’s largest platform from which aspiring designers can launch their career.

2017’s Graduate Fashion Week is taking place at the Truman Brewery, 4th-7th June 2017.

Graduate Fashion Week is a charity that benefits enormously from the support of patrons and ambassadors including Christopher Bailey MBE of Burberry, Victoria Beckham OBE, Vivienne Westwood DBE RBI and Nick Knight OBE of Show Studio. Graduate Fashion Week has become the key source of new talent from across the world.

Christopher Bailey MBE, the first winner of what is now endowed as the Graduate Fashion Week Gold Award, 26 years ago said: “The British fashion school system has created an environment that drives young designers to try new ideas without feeling like they have to fit into a pre-determined way of doing things. It’s a very exciting environment to learn in.”

Graduate Fashion Week not only showcases imagination and innovation it also influences the way the fashion industry works. By promoting the fashion industry, Graduate Fashion Week makes a significant contribution to the British economy. The fashion industry supports 797,000 jobs and contributes £26 billion to the economy.

During the four-day event established designers, celebrities and industry experts host live talks and masterclasses in various locations across the venue. Each university will have their own stand showcasing a range of students inspiring work, giving visitors the opportunity to speak to them about their fashion course offering

Martyn Roberts, the Creative & Managing Director of Graduate Fashion Week said: “We’re proud to present our largest offering of live studio panel talks and masterclasses. We have lots of great events lined up for those wanting to break into the fashion industry, such as workshops with accomplished designers.”

Graduate Fashion Week represents the future of creative design and talent from around the world, where each university has their own area to highlight their students work.

Graduate Fashion Week is ‘the place to be’ for both current workers in the Fashion Industry and those who aspire to do so.
