Forever Unique have hosted a charity DANCETHON in light of the tragic Manchester attacks to raise money for the We Love ManchesterEmergency fund. The event took place on 5 July inside the Sports Hall at Parrs Wood High School, East Didsbury.
Forever Unique is owned by Seema Malhotra, star of the Real Housewives of Cheshire, who invited a whole host of her celebrity friends to ‘join the movement’ and support the cause. Those first to get their feet moving involved a number of Real Housewives, soap stars and TV personalities, including Stacey Forsey, Tanya Bardsley, Leanne Brown and husband Wes Brown, Brooke Vincent, Ellie Leach and Hollywood actor Omar Benson Miller.
The event was opened by a very special live performance from the incredible Parrs Wood Choir – as seen at the One Love gig at Lancashire Cricket Ground last month.
Over 200 participants took to the stage to partake in the Danceathon, which was led by three professional choreographers – Becci Elliott, Katy Moore and Jonathan Chianca – whilst a further 200 spectators eagerly watched their loved ones take part. Ticket prices started at a minimum donation of £25 to partake in the Danceathon and a £10 minimum donation for spectators, with the event hoping to raise between £5-10K in total.
All dance participants were thanked with a bespoke Forever Unique Charity T-shirt, while spectators were given the option to purchase their very own T-shirt for £5 each on the day.
The theme of the event was ‘One Love’ in honour of hit star Ariana Grande, with attendees encouraged to turn up in bright colours and bunny ears to add to the fun-filled evening.
Seema Malhotra, Design Director of Forever Unique and star of Real Housewives of Cheshire, commented: “In light of the devastating events in Manchester, we wanted to get our community together and lift everyone’s spirits. This cause means everything to all of us and we hope our Charity Danceathon brings a smile to everyone’s faces. We can’t thank everyone enough for their support and generous donations. I’d also like to say a special thank you to our amazing choreographers for keeping our feet moving and to the incredible Parrs Wood High School Choir for their heart-touching vocals.”
All proceeds have been donated to We Love MCR Emergency Fund to support victims of the Manchester Terror Attacks
