Double title win in ISFA Leagues for Cheadle Hulme School

Cheadle Hulme School’s first and second football teams are celebrating as champions of the 1st and 2nd ISFA Greater Manchester Leagues.

Taking both titles in the independent schools competition, CHS’s 1st XI and 2nd XI footballers fought off strong competition at Bury School from teams across the area including Manchester Grammar and Stockport Grammar schools.

CHS’s 1st XI were crowned champions of their league after finishing unbeaten, winning 11 points from 5 matches.

Their best result came at Bury where they beat the home side 0-8.

An image of Cheadle Hulme School FootballCHS’s 2nd XI took the top spot by 8 goals in a closely contested 2nds league; equalling Stockport by finishing on 12 points with 4 wins each, CHS won by a goal difference of 18.

CHS Head of Football, Mr Damien Allen said: “It wasn’t an easy win and was especially good to see both teams do so well. It’s often the case that one will do better than the other so it’s great to be able to celebrate both sides’ brilliant achievements. All the players are really pleased.”
