Manchester City Old Boys have enjoyed their annual Golf Day at Didsbury Golf Club for well over ten years and they had another great day of excellent fellowship and competition.

The event was organised by Didsbury’s City legend Roy Cheetham and supported by John Williamson and Fred Eyre.

Among the City legends on the course were Joe Corrigan, Tommy Booth, Peter Barnes, Stan Horne and John Clegg supported by United’s David Sadler and Carlo Sartori among many others.

Enjoying the day in the company of their heroes were Didsbury Leg Ends Fred Finley and Colin Hartley.

A close competition saw Tommy Booth’s team win a cpo on 85 points and everyone had a great night of celebration in the clubhouse afterwards.

There were some magnificent prizes for the competition, raffle and auction provided by Manchester United included a signed picture of Denis Law in his City prime.

Guest Tony Smith from Stamford GC summed the day up –‘It was a great day for everyone, a great course and great food backed by great company’.
